Live Training

For our clients, "ethics training"; is a curriculum of specific learning experiences designed to meet specific integrity risks and includes topics as:

  • Code awareness and the importance of doing the right thing
  • Warning signs for managers and employees to identify integrity risks before they become integrity problems
  • Integrity leadership and responsibilities of managers to model ethical behavior
  • Consequences of one's actions and the impact on stakeholders
  • Decision-making skills for employees and for managers

Training can be designed to meet the specific needs of various audiences. A comprehensive program can include the following audiences:

Senior Leadership Team
Facilitated half-day workshops presenting the results of the assessment process and engaging the team in developing a committed action plan for supporting the goals of the program. Participants will recognize their responsibility to both model the necessary behavior as well as demand adherence to the learning objectives on the part of managers and employees.

Facilitators
A company's in-house training facilitators can be a critical link between leadership and line employees. They help leadership translate and communicate its vision for a culture of ethics and motivate employees to take those messages seriously.

Working Values leads train-the-trainer sessions with a select group of in-house managers and trainers. The facilitators are presented with a comprehensive Facilitators' Guide that contains all of the materials necessary to lead both manager and employee training.

All Employees
Employees participate in 60-90-minute sessions centered on case discussions addressing business issues and how they could be solved and prevented. Working Values can develop video support including character vignettes and leadership messaging.

Managers
All managers can participate in additional 60-90-minute sessions focusing on managers' responsibilities to create and foster open communications and role model key behaviors in their workgroups.

Straight Talk

Open and honest communications are fundamental to building an ethical organizational culture. While this fact may seem obvious, achieving a high standard of communication is one of the greatest challenges a company faces; yet, without effective communications, an organization is vulnerable to poor decision making, employee apathy and misconduct. Straight Talk offers tools and strategies to reduce this important integrity risk.

Straight Talk is an engaging and practical seminar developed by Bob Phillips and Larry Johnson, authors of the best selling book, Absolute Honesty. This workshop offers ethics and compliance officers, HR managers, and other leaders involved in the management of their corporate culture the tools and strategies to communicate honestly and directly at all levels of the organization. In the seminar you'll begin by assessing your own corporate culture, move on to understanding the "Six Laws of Absolute Honesty" and, finally, learn how to put the Laws into practice in your own organization. You'll see how the "5 Tenets of Ethical Behavior" can help you build your own platform of integrity within your company.

Working Values is proud to be partnering with Larry Johnson and Bob Phillips in being able to offer our clients this program, which can be a critical element in a comprehensive ethics and compliance curriculum.
